Brandy & Jim

I ask, "So... how'd you guys meet...". They look at eachother, laugh, then Brandy says, “at Red Lobster, girl….”. Then Jim jumps in, anxious to tell me the story in his own words, “Let me tell you about the first time we met…” and with no detail overlooked, he tells me the story. It was the sweetest thing watching Jim’s mannerisms as he shared their story, with Brandy smiling beside him....

The story began years ago at Red Lobster. Jim was managing the restaurant at the time and Brandy was enjoying her dinner, until she tasted the shrimp. The amount of salt on that shrimp prompted her to ask for the manager and what started out as a complaint, eventually led to them connecting days later, falling in love and now they’re getting ready to walk down the aisle.

For the love of tennis

Who would have thought heading to the tennis courts that day would lead to Margaret and Tim meeting eachother, falling in love, and planning their wedding. It all started on the tennis court.

Margaret and Tim were so fun to shoot. They made capturing their love so easy for me.

And let me tell you…. Margaret has got it TOGETHER. I’ve never met a bride so on top of the wedding planning, especially with the wedding 8 months away. Not just the photography part but almost all aspects of their big day are good to go and I’m impressed. Love her style. Love it. Now they can just enjoy being engaged without all the wedding planning stress!

A little bit of sunshine

There's nothing like sunshine after weekends of rain. Having to reschedule Olivia and Kris' engagement session WEEK AFTER WEEK due to weekend rain frustrated all three of us. Fortunately, on this day, the sun came out just for them, and it was worth the wait...

Through our phone calls and emails, I knew Olivia and Kris would be fun to shoot. And now that I've met them in person, I'm even more excited to shoot their big day!

I love love LOVE this shot...

It was so nice to finally meet you both! Can't wait for July to come around!!!

Love Story.

It’s the question everyone asks an engaged couple. In between the clicks of my shutter, I asked, “So… how’d you guys meet???”

One responds, “On e-harmony…”

Then the other responds, “I mean at Hooters…”

Then I hear, “No we met on a plane…”

With each response, I imagined a sweet story behind it. So let’s keep their love story a mystery. What matters most is that these two beautiful souls found eachother and since then, literally everything in their life has been falling into place.

As we roamed through Monterey one early morning, it felt as if no one else was around. Alex and Erik were simply themselves, in eachother’s company, and in love. I was fortunate enough to be able to capture this special time in their life.

Alex and Erik, I am counting down the days to your wedding!

It shows.

Jasmine and I scheduled this shoot about a month ago, almost entirely over texting. There was something she said in one text that stuck in my mind which told me all I needed to know for Jasmine and Jose's portraits...

Jasmine text read, "...I love this man with all of my being and I hope it shows in the pics."

It definitely shows.

Thank you Jasmine and Jose for making the trip all the way out here! Hope we can do it again soon with the whole family.
