Catching up!

I've got a lot of catching up to do. I have 2 (maybe 3) years worth of portrait sessions that never made it to this photography blog. As I've mentioned before, I struggle with finding that one photo to sneak peek or share on FB, because I feel like just one photo doesn't tell the whole story. I approach my portrait sessions, weddings, events, etc with more of what I consider documentary style, resulting in collections of photos which all have a piece to the story. With that said, there's lots more to come on this blog.

Here is the Ginette family. It was a while back but feels like yesterday. I had so much fun with their family on that morning in Carmel.

I've said it before

and I'll say it again. I love what I do.

In a previous blogpost, I mentioned that I have a year's worth of images to share on the blog which I am slowly chipping away at. As I sort through all of the images from previous sessions, I find myself back in the exact moment that I captured the photos. It's like reliving it all over again and I'm in a place of pure joy. Man I'm lucky to be able to do what I enjoy doing and I'm extremely appreciative of the people that trust in me to capture their memories.

Jackie, Jimmy, and Kiara are up next on the blog and I ALWAYS enjoy photographing them. Always fun with them.

Probably one of my fav "mom pics" ever...
Jackie, thank you so much!!!! So much time has passed since this session that new photos are well overdue!

At home

I remember how Samantha explained that she wanted family photos taken at their home and just letting the kids be themselves. I love portrait sessions like this! I remember it rained the night before our morning appointment, but by the time I arrived, the clouds disappeared and the sun shined down on the Storelli Family. It was perfect for a backyard family portrait session. And they have an awesome backyard.

Samantha thank you for inviting me to photograph your beautiful family and welcoming me to your home! That was a fun morning.

I'm back!

I was going through photos from last year's portrait sessions when I realized I hadn't posted anything to the blog since last summer! The more I flipped through the jpg's, the more I felt the need to get caught up. There are SO MANY collections of photos that I want to share because the images alone tell their own story. So, let's start with the Bolivar Family! These images are from over a year ago, but it feels like it was yesterday.

Lena and Rene, thank you so much for having me photograph your beautiful family. You guys are so sweet and I remember having a great time that afternoon.
