Bella the Ballerina

Here's another shoot I can't believe I never shared here.  I had the opportunity to photograph this sweet little ballerina and I had such a great time.  My heart is in dance so (clearly) I had just as much fun as little miss Bella!

It usually takes people a little bit of time to warm up to the camera. It’s no problem. It’s actually pretty common and I expect it.

However, the Borgomini kids showed me otherwise. I don’t know how Michelle prepared her children during the drive up to Mission Ranch to meet me, but they were ready for some pictures! And when I say ready, they were READY, like they couldn’t have been any more ready than they were! Love it.

I loved spending the afternoon with these kiddos. They were so full of life and just really in the moment. Their energy was contagious and I found myself so excited and happy right with them.

The Fashionista

She arrived at her shoot looking absolutely adorable and just ready to shine in front of the camera. I gave her mom the thumbs up for putting together her outfits and she immediately corrected me…. “Cali put her outfits together herself...”. Great job Cali!

So much fun spending the afternoon with this sweet girl. Her personality just shined in front of the camera and I’m so happy I was able to capture her spirit. Love that little sunkissed face of hers!

Kayleekai

I swear it was yesterday when I photographed this little cutie pie at a few months old during family portraits. All of a sudden, Kayleekai’s about to be a year old? And this sweet thing is just about the cutest little thing ever. Both her and big sister, Jordyn.

Her mom initially planned months ago to make this Kayleekai’s 1st birthday portrait session, but eventually it evolved into family portraits and I’m so happy it did because they have such a sweet family. Even though I had them meet me at the crack of dawn on a Sunday morning, they were all in good spirits with warm smiles and ready with flowers in their hair.

Janay, thanks for being so organized and planning Kayleekai’s 1st birthday pics way in advance! I adore those little girls of yours and I’m so happy I got to take pics for you.

A Sweet Melody

As soon as I introduced myself to this cutie pie, she smiled and reached her little arms out to me. It wasn't hard to fall in love with Melody in that first moment.

Melody was so happy and full of smiles all morning. I whispered to her mom, thanking her for making sure Melody was well-rested and ready for pictures that early morning. She responded, "Oh no. She's always happy like this...".

Understandably, it often takes the little ones a bit of warming up to the idea of having a big camera in their face. This little sweet thing didn't need much time at all.

A few minutes into making silly noises and funny faces behind the camera in an attempt to get the shot, I notice Kiki's mom fiddling with her phone next to me. She says "Here... she gets happy when she sees pictures of herself...". Next thing you know, she turns the phone around and shows Kiki a photo of herself, then BAM.... instant smile...

Saw this one and thought "I wanna hear what she's listening to on her ipod..." hahahaha.
