Because every guy needs a tux, right?

She had a few different outfits picked out for Everett’s 3-month shoot. Then I saw the light bulb pop up above her head…. “Oh…My sister just got a tux for him!!”. She disappears for a moment and comes back in the room with Everett in his evening-wear… his own little baby tuxedo.

Every guy needs a tuxedo in his closet, right? You just never know when you might need one.

One of the great things about my job is that sometimes I’m lucky enough to see these tiny little babies as they grow, right before my eyes. I can’t believe Everett is already 3 months old.

Welcome home Everett

Based on Laura's due date, we scheduled his newborn session for just a few days following his anticipated birth date. Little did we know that Baby Everett had other plans.

That day arrived and Everett hadn't made his appearance yet so we postponed his newborn shoot another week. The second date arrived and I was thrilled to find Laura's email announcement that Everett was born. As I continued reading her email, my heart dropped... Everett wasn't coming home from the hospital yet. He was miles away at the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit), at the same hospital where my son spent his first 2 1/2 months of life.

Eight long days later, Everett is finally home with Mom and Dad, is healthy and as cute as a button. It was so nice to finally meet this little guy.

And he's two months old. Already?

Here is proof that time passes way too fast. It seems like yesterday that I was on my way to meet with Itsy for her maternity portraits... All of a sudden Maikel's here and he's already two months old! :)

Sydney has arrived

One of the best things about a maternity session is that a newborn session soon follows! Catherine and Ken were so much fun to shoot during their maternity session. Their trust in my creativity and willingness to go with the flow were truly more than I could ask for that day. So, when Catherine shared the news that Sydney had arrived, of course I made my way back to their home as soon as I could get there.

A bundle of JOY

We met in the 7th grade and became fast friends, as does everyone that crosses her path. We could laugh for days, until tears fell from our cheeks and our stomach muscles ached. Twenty-something years later, she's still one of my best friends and I have officially fallen in love with the newest addition to her family…
