This is Nina.

And nope, she's not our dog.

We were bbq’ing at the park when she came running out of nowhere, chasing after the kids' football. Her name is Nina and she turned out to be the sweetest thing. After chatting with Nina’s really nice owners, I learned a lot about Boxers and now more than ever I hope to find a Boxer with a red bow under the Christmas tree in December…

Inspired and Driven

I recently spent the day with several hundred other photographers from all over Northern California and, to say the least, it was a good day. Being in a room with so many creative people that share the same passion and an eagerness to learn is a great feeling. I arrived in the morning with a granola bar, a notepad and butterflies in my stomach. I left at the end of the day feeling inspired, ready to move full speed ahead towards my goals, and even made a handful of new photographer friends.

A Sister's Reminder

The sister of an expectant mother contacted me to set up a surprise maternity shoot to (in her own words) “remind her of how beautiful she is.” It was such a thoughtful and sweet gift.

When I was pregnant, I felt anything but beautiful, and now I feel foolish for not having prego photos taken during such a special time. Every expectant mom I’ve ever photographed truly has a natural glow... a natural beauty that radiates in front of my lens. Maternity sessions have become one of my favorites.

Catherine and Ken own a nursery and this cute onesie was designed at Catherine's baby shower the day before…

A bundle of JOY

We met in the 7th grade and became fast friends, as does everyone that crosses her path. We could laugh for days, until tears fell from our cheeks and our stomach muscles ached. Twenty-something years later, she's still one of my best friends and I have officially fallen in love with the newest addition to her family…
